Q. If people go to the Mooseheads game, leave for a while and then come back for the Hockey Day for Haiti festivities, can they keep their original seats?
A. Hockey Day for Haiti is a free event with unreserved, general seating; therefore, a Mooseheads game ticket does not guarantee a specific seat once the game is over and the person has vacated it. A "first-come, first-seated" rule will be in place.
Q. If fans are taking in the Mooseheads game and are planning to stay for the Deloitte Family Skate afterward, will there be a place where people can store their skates at the Metro Centre during the Mooseheads game and then again after the Deloitte Family Skate?
A. Yes. There will be a special “Skate Check” set up next to the Ticket Atlantic Box Office at the Halifax Metro Centre. There will be no charge, but donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be gratefully received.
Q. How many people will be allowed on the ice during the Deloitte Family Skate?
A. The Halifax Metro Centre staff will be monitoring the skaters and may, at any time, request that skaters leave the ice and let another group have a turn. Our top concern is the safety and enjoyment of all in attendance.
Q. Is there any cost to attend Hockey Day for Haiti?
A. No. The event is free, thanks to the sponsorship support provided by Deloitte and Trade Centre Limited. We do ask that people consider making a donation to the Canadian Red Cross either at the door, or by giving to any official Canadian Red Cross volunteers who will be on-site. The first 500 people who make a donation will receive a commemorative toque from Deloitte. All proceeds will go to supporting the Red Cross Haitian earthquake relief efforts as there still remains a great need for our help.
