Statutory Holidays
When an employee is required to work on any of the Statutory Holidays listed below, the rate shall be 2.0 times the prevailing rate.
- Good Friday
- Canada Day
- Labour Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve after 6:00 p.m.
- New Year's Day.

Local 680 Working Conditions
- Minimum Call: The minimum call shall be four (4) hours.
- The Union shall designate a Steward of Crew Chief on all calls to ensure the safety and supervision of its Members at all times.
- When an employee is required to work on any of the Statutory Holidays listed below, the hourly rate shall be 2.0 times the Prevailing Rate. Statutory Holidays are as follows: Good Friday, Canada Day, Labour Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve after 6:00 p.m. and New Year's Day.
- When an employee is required to work in excess of forty-eight (48) working hours per week, all additional hours shall be paid at 1.5 times the applicable Regular Rate. The work week shall run from Sunday through Saturday.
- Definition of a Performance: The Performance Rate covers a maximum four (4) hour call in. Any additional time shall be paid by the half-hour at the Prevailing Rate. A Dress Rehearsal shall be considered as a performance and paid as such.
- Coffee Breaks: A coffee break of not less than nor to exceed fifteen (15) minutes duration, shall be taken during each four (4) hour call/shift. Coffee breaks shall be called by the Steward or Crew Chief.
- Meal Breaks: A meal break shall be given when a call/shift exceeds a maximum of five (5) hours in duration. When catering is provided by the show, a half (1/2) hour meal break shall be taken and considered as time worked. When no catering is provided, a one (1) hour meal break shall be taken and considered as time worked. Meal Breaks are to be called by the Steward or Crew Chief.
- Safe Working Conditions: Both the Union and the Employer shall work together to ensure that safe working conditions exist for all respective Members/Employees.
- Any variations of these conditions cannot be made without the expressed consent of the Business Agent of the Union. Any altercations made otherwise are therefore invalid.
